Welcome - also some FAQs

Welcome to CRT with Miss Dallow!

Firstly here is some answers to your questions.

What is CRT?
CRT stands for Classroom Release Time. All full time teachers are entitled to an hour a week of time out of their classroom to do observations on other teachers, assess students, write reflections etc.

What will my child do during this time?
Learning continues during CRT and is not just a time for students to play games and relax. They continue to cover curriculum areas at their level. In my classes they will be doing Science, Health and PE. This will be linked with what is happening in the school at the time or what is relevant to the students.

Where can I see the work my child is doing?
Every child has a CRT book that goes to and from the CRT class. This book will be found in their classroom.  Some work is displayed in their classroom or in the CRT room.

Doesn't Mrs Kumar do this job too?
Yes! Each term the classes will rotate through both mine and Mrs Kumar's CRT programmes. Mrs Kumar's focus is Music and The Arts. If your child has not seen Mrs Kumar yet, they will do next term.

Hopefully this answers some of your questions on what CRT is.

This blog will display photos of your children participating in CRT classes. I will also upload videos or links that I have used during our lessons so you can follow up with your child.
